Application: 2.5D Engraving for Die Making

Die making need not be intimidating and with GravoStyle^TM6, it is downright easy!

1- Take your artwork and draw a framing box around it

2- Go into the CAM module in GravoStyle^TM Graphic software

3- Select sequence toolpath and choose 3-4 engraving cutters

The software automatically uses the tools in large to small tip size order to minimize job time. In the job capture in the video above, we used a .020", .060" and .090". The speed and dwell need to be slowed way down and this is best accomplished by editing each tool in the CAM module (depths and engraving material will dictate).

Send over your largest tool first and finish with the smallest. There is nothing to it!
